Too Much Sugar Triples Your Chance of Heart Disease

Yeah, I don’t want to hear it because I love my sweets, too. But a study out this month from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control found that eating too much sugar can indeed be deadly. Three times as deadly, actually.

Here’s the sobering statistics: Say you consume 2,000 calories a day. If you drink just two 12 ounce cans of sugary soda, you increase your chances of dying from heart problems threefold versus someone who drank say unsweetened iced two. Just two sodas!!!!

The study found most American adults ingest their added sugar from sodas and sugary drinks.

In addition, the researchers discovered most adults exceed the “safe” amount of sugar, which is 15 percent of total daily calories.

So, sugar not only makes you fat. It can make you sick. I am going to have to fight the urge to have a candy bar….
